Filmmaker Craig Brewer
Craig Brewer, the guy who brought us the superb HUSTLE & FLOW and the Samuel L Jackson/ Christina Ricci starrer BLACK SNAKE MOAN, has apparently come up with a new take on the classic TARZAN story, and plans to make it over three films. Deadline reports the news that Brewer, who’s remake of the classic 1980’s movie FOOTLOOSE hits this October, plans to make the first TARZAN story his next directing project.
I can remember covering HUSTLE & FLOW on The Hollywood News years ago, and was simply blown away by it. Still am, so I’m really excited to see what Brewer has in mind for Tarzan. Warner Brothers is the studio which has optioned the Brewer deal.
