As if the last installment wasn’t disappointing enough, it seems that the INDIANA JONES franchise is set for another revival. In an interview with MTV, the co-star of THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL, Shia LaBeouf confirmed the project is going ahead.
‘I talked to Harrison,’ said LaBeouf, ‘he said he’s heard no word, but he does know that George [Lucas] is out there looking for a MacGuffin.’
No doubt he’ll find one in the shape of a fat pile of cash.
It’s little surprise that Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Harrison Ford have been lured back to the series considering the phenomenal $700 million the previous film made, despite its tarnishing of the original trilogy. No word on whether the CGI monkeys will be returning.
