It’s been revealed by The Hollywood Reporter that Steven Spielberg (HOOK, THE TERMINAL) has been kicking ideas around with screenwriter Mark Protosevich (THOR, I AM LEGEND) for a new JURASSIC PARK movie. It’s still early doors and according to Universal, all brainstorming is ‘purely exploratory,’ but the DNA has been extracted from the amber of Spielberg’s mind, and we may see some reanimated dinosaurs roaming the multiplexes in the next few years.
The question is, would The Berg opt for a third sequel or a whole reboot? It may sound crazy, but with JURASSIC PARK 3 having the distinct odour of dino droppings and SPIDERMAN, THE MAN OF STEEL and RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES completely ignoring their previous movie outings and starting afresh, don’t be surprised to see Shia LaBeouf or the like filling the hat of Dr. Alan Grant attempting to get JURASSIC PARK back online. Let’s hope not though, eh?
