Tom Wilkinson, the British actor who shot to fame in THE FULL MONTY, has joined the cast of the Gore Verbinski directed and Jerry Bruckheimer produced THE LONE RANGER. That means he will be joining both Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp in the flick, which is set to go before the cameras later this year for a December 2012 release.
Variety report that Wilkinson will play ” a railroad tycoon in the Old West who plays a prominent role in the Mouse House’s bigscreen pair-up of Armie Hammer, as the masked Texas Ranger, and his trusty sidekick, Tonto, to be played by Johnny Depp.”
I loved RANGO from director Verbinski earlier this year, and am looking forward to seeing his reteaming with his ‘Pirates’ producer Bruckheimer.
