Captain America vetoed by the Russians

According to The Hollywood Reported, poor ol’ Captain America will have to keep a low profile in some corners of the globe. Apparently, Russia, the Ukraine, and South Korea are set to drop the superhero’s name from the title of his upcoming movie. Paramount gave the option to each country set for release on whether they wanted to use the full CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, or variations.

The decisions from these three nations undoubtedly have their roots in former political issues, and the film may stand to do better business without the flag-waving super soldier’s name within the title. In Russia, the Ukraine, and South Korea, the film will simply be named THE FIRST AVENGER in an effort to distract from the overt patriotism at hand. The Cap’s costume, however, is a dead giveaway.
