Jamie Foxx hints that DiCaprio is on board for Tarantino’s Django Unchained

Tarantino has done a sterling job of dissecting and reinventing his favourite genres. Be it Uma Thurman tearing it up kung fu style in KILL BILL or Christopher Waltz injecting some humorous menace into the wartime epic INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, Tarantino’s output in recent years has been nothing short of genius. And he is set to work his cinematic magic on the western genre with the upcoming DJANGO UNCHAINED.

According to NME, Jamie Foxx is on board as the titular hero Django, and he has just let slip that Leonardo DiCaprio may have been cast as the film’s villain.

When discussing what he is most looking forward to, Foxx stated, ‘Just to be able to work with Quentin Tarantino, Samuel L Jackson, and Leonardo DiCaprio, and to be able to tell a story that needs to be told. If you are a fan of INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, I mean, you know…it’s just amazing. It should be amazing.’

Fans of QT are undoubtedly in agreement, particularly as Christopher Waltz is rumoured to play Django’s bounty hunter friend. The film will follow Django as he swears revenge against the plantation owner that kidnaps his wife.
