We always look forward to remakes or reboots with great trepidation here on The Hollywood News. Personally, I love a remake, and frankly couldn’t give a darned hoot what Tinseltown sets its target on to rehash for mdern audiences… After all, it doesn’t erase the memory of the original movie does it? You known you’re getting old when thy start to remake movies from your lifetime. Such a movie is ROBOCOP, which is getting the remake treatment from ELITE SQUAD helmer Jose Padhila. I love the original and the stellar performance that lead actor Peter Weller put in. That said, I am huge fan of his music too, especially that track ‘Changing Man’. **
So, who is going to fill his shoes for the noughties remake? Well, according to Twitch, top o MGM”s list is Captain Kirk himself, Chris Pine! Now, he would be a hell of a lot younger than Weller was if he is to don the metal suit to fight crime on the streets of Detroit as Alex J. Murphy.
The film has a released date set for TBA 2013, so a little while off yet. However, what do you think of this potential casting choice?
