With news coming out confirming the remake of development Hell project EVIL DEAD having a rewrite from Diablo Cody also comes news that GODZILLA will be having a rewrite from David Goyer.
Goyer will be rewriting David Callaham (THE EXPENDABLES, DOOM) for Legendary and Warner Bros. The project on numerous occasions has been confused with Guillermo del Toro’s PACIFIC RIM, another monster/alien affair. There is no word if the director, Gareth Edwards (MONSTER) is still attached, but here’s hoping he is.
With a 2014 release for GODZILLA and a July 2013 for PACIFIC RIM and rumours of other monster based films it looks like the peak of Superhero films might have to battle with that of the Monster movies.
