Here’s another piece of genius casting from director/ writer Quentin Tarantino who has cast none other than Kevin Costner in his upcoming ‘Southern’ DJANGO UNCHAINED. He joins the already cast Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson.
The film revolves around a freed American slave (Foxx) who teams with a German bounty hunter (Waltz) to save his wife from evil plantation owner Calvin Candie (DiCaprio).
Costner will star as Ace Woody, one of Candie’s henchman apparently. Deadline says that Woody is ‘the sadistic trainer of the male fighting slaves who entertain the white patrons of Candyland as well as the female slaves who are forced to be prostitutes.’
Shooting kicks off later in the year for a Christmas 2012 release.
