Ms. Weaver is currently doing tons of interviews, for some reason, and she caught up with Moviefone recently where she commented on playing her most famous character just one more time… Ellen Ripley. With director Ridley Scott currently hard at work on an ‘ALIEN’ prequel PROMETHEUS, which has zero to do with Ripley, the subject of further movies in the popular franchise are currently a very hot topic. Sadly, it doesn’t look like Sigourney will be shaving her head again any time soon.
“I doubt it just because the way the industry is,” she said. “Once you’re sixty [years old], you’re not going to be starring in an action movie. I would have liked to do one last story where we go back to the planet, where Ripley’s history is resolved. I do feel like her story is unfinished.”
“If I was really caught up in it, I would find a logical story and try to get [20th Century Fox] behind it, but [Ripley] may just be left circling earth. I could definitely kick that alien’s ass again, but just looking at the way the business is…”
