Four name actors have joined the cast on the Jerry Bruckheimer produced and Gore Verbinski directed THE LONE RANGER over at Disney, according to Variety.
Helena Bonham Carter, James Badge Dale, Barry Pepper and Dwight Yoakam are those new additions, but all are attached as just ‘in talks’ at this precise moment. Yoakam is in talks to play the villain of the piece in Butch Cavendish, while Carter would play a brothel madam, Pepper playing 7th Cavalry Captain J. Fuller and Dale appearing as Dan Reid, brother to the Ranger’s alter ego, John Reid.
Armie Hammer is already cast as thhe title character, with Johnny Depp appearing as Tonto. Ruth Wilson and Tom Wilkinson are also amongst the cast.
The film has a release date set for December 21st, 2012 (US).
