Well, this is a surprise. It appears, according to Deadline, that Ron Howard will not direct the third filmin Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon series that started with THE DA VINCI CODE and ANGELS & DEMONS. THE LOST SYMBOL will now go out to directors.
The script for the film will be written by Steven Knight (EASTERN PROMISES) and Dan Brown himself. Tom Hanks is also expected to return to the film’s central character.
