Following his sinister turn as Sebastian Shaw in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, Kevin Bacon will reportedly join another comic adaptation. According to Variety, Universal is looking to cast Bacon in R.I.P.D., a supernatural action-thriller based on Peter Lenkov’s Dark Horse comic.
The story focuses on the Rest In Peace Department, a branch of the police made up from the dead. Bacon will join Ryan Reynolds (GREEN LANTERN), Jeff Bridges (TRUE GRIT) and director Robert Schwentke (RED). Filming is set to begin soon, with a planned June 2012 release.
