A Peek at the Aliens in The Darkest Hour

There have been rumblings about THE DARKEST HOUR starring Emile Hirsch (SPEED RACER) for a while and THN saw the trailer at THE RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES press screening. The film which was originally set in the US moved to Russia due to the producer of the film, Timur Bekmambetov (NIGHT WATCH) which has seen led to numerous delays due to various circumstances that has afflicted Moscow including wildfires.

The film sees Earth being invaded by invisible, energy sucking, aliens, trapping Hirsch’s character in Moscow all in glorious 3D. The trailer has it’s moments but the film looks a bit of a let down. One of the intriguing parts of the film is that you don’t see the alien yet as we get closer to the release date, images have been made available giving everyone a peek at the shy aliens. Paul finished is BA in Film & Broadcast Productions during the summer and has somehow landed the position of Media & Marketing Manager in the London Korean Film Festival happening this November (plug).
