The Hollywood Reporter are confirming that Bruce Willis is officially in negotiations to star in John Chu’s G.I. JOE sequel. The action legend would join the already cast Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Stevenson and RZA in the film, which will be released in the US on June 29, 2012.
According to the trade, Willis will play General Joe Colton, the man who in 1980s comic books starts the G.I. Joe strike team, called the ultimate freedom fighting force, and got the handle G.I. Joe.
The full title of the Paramount production is G.I. JOE 2: RETALIATION.
How cool is this? Genius casting….
