Warner Bros have released the first image from EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE, an adaptation from Jonathan Safran Foer’s 2005 novel. The film, directed by Stephen Daldry, follows eccentric nine-year-old Oscar (Thomas Horn) whose father is killed during 9/11. After discovering a mysterious key left by his father, Oscar goes in search of its lost lock.
As the image shows, EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE co-stars Tom Hanks (BIG), but he is just one of a major supporting cast that includes Sandra Bullock (SPEED), John Goodman (THE BIG LEWBOWSKI), and James Gandolfini (8MM). It arrives in cinemas January 2012.
