Rodriguez says he’s got the cash for Sin City 2 – now all they need is a script!

Filmmaker extraordinaire Robert Rodriguez has been quoted in saying that he has all of the financing in place for the sequel to one of his biggest hits, the superb Frank Miller adaptation of SIN CITY.

Speaking to We Got This Covered, the director said: “Sin City 2 is going good, we’re just finishing the script for that, we already got the money. We have everything we need so we can just start shooting as soon as we get the pages. And it’s the same thing for Machete 2. We’ve already got the budget, just waiting for the script. As soon as we’re finished writing we get to start the shoot.”

So that’s SIN CITY 2 and MACHETE 2! The last we heard was that one Angelina Jolie was going to be in the SIN CITY follow up. Is that still happening? The film will focus on three separate stories including A Dame To Kill For, which I think is the segment that Jolie was set to star in. Correct me if I’m wrong.
