Deadline are reporting that Jason Bateman is set to star in the comedy THE ID THEFT, alongside Melissa McCarthy (TV’s MIKE & MOLLY, BRIDESMAIDS). The film is written by Steve Conrad (with rewrites by THE HANGOVER PART II scribe Craig Mazin.
The plot revolves around a guy who gets his identity stolen by woman, played by McCarthy. Shooting on the film is set to kick off in April 2012 when MIKE & MOLLY goes on hiatus.
I know absolutely nothing about that show, but boy did McCarthy steal the show in BRIDESMAIDS (she played Megan). The actress has also been seen in the TV show GILMORE GIRLS.
