This is quite possibly the coolest post that I have every put up here on The Hollywood News. My entries are in the thousands on this here website, but I have never seen anything like this. If anyone was to ask me; ‘Paul, what’s your favourite movie?’ Well, the word SCARFACE would fall from my lips. The film is nearly thirty years old, and a limited edition Blu-Ray is about to hit home entertainment shelves in the USA (I’m struggling to see a UK release at present). Two days ago, in association with Ciroc Vodka, the key cast got together for a reunion at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles, California. I wanted to be there. I live in London.
Al Pacino, Steven Bauer, Robert Loggia, F. Murray Abraham and producer Martin Bregman came together to celebrate this movie classic, just in time for the new release, and the ledge that is Pacino even brought his Phil Spector hair-do.
The Blu-Ray is released Stateside on September 6th, 2011, and yes, I have some photos, and even a little video of the event. How amazing is it to see Pacino sitting on that throne again?
