COLUMBIANA star Zoe Saldana is all set to produce and star in a new film called DOMINION, a supernatural thriller set up over at Paramount Pictures. The Hollywood Reporter spilled the beans about the project, which centers on a woman (Saldana) who is half-human, half-angel.
That’s about all we know about it plot-wise, which is based on a pitch by Chester Hastings and Dean McCrear. The duo have a thing for angels, having just wrote the in-development YOU’RE MY ANGEL. The two also have a superb script about a video store employee who is the world’s biggest Sam Raimi fan, which has just been made into a short, featuring Raimi himself.
Hollywood itself is also having a bit of an infatuation with angels and demons at the moment, what with this and the planned PARADISE LOST. That’s perfectly fine with me, so long as I never have to endure ANGELS & DEMONS again. Ever. Again.
