DRIVE director Nicolas Winding Refn has fuelled rumours that he will be reuniting with Carey Mulligan in new project I WALK WITH THE DEAD.
The Danish filmmaker suggested the Oscar nominated actress will play the lead role in his self-penned erotic thriller. The news comes from the Deauville Film Festival where the director accepted an award on behalf of DRIVE star Ryan Gosling.
The film has reportedly been in the works for a number of years and though details are sketchy we’re expecting a lot of sex…
“I’ve always wanted to make a movie with lots of sex. So I wrote this story called, I Walk With The Dead and it takes place in Miami and it’s just going to have a lot of sex in it,” the director told The Playlist.
“I only make genre movies,” Nicolas stated. The director will soon travel to Bangkok to shoot the punch-’em-up ONLY GOD FORGIVES with Ryan Gosling, Kristin Scott Thomas (THE ENGLISH PATIENT), and Luke Evans (CLASH OF THE TITANS).
DRIVE is released in cinemas 23rd September 2011
