Stormare Headed For Schwarzenegger’s Last Stand

The great Peter Stormare is in talks to appear opposite Schwarzenegger in Korean Director Jee-woon Kim’s (A TALE OF TWO SISTERS) Hollywood debut.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s return to acting after his stint as ‘Governor of California’ ended saw him recently sign up for THE LAST STAND. The movie will see his small- town Sheriff facing off against a recently escaped drug cartel.

Stormare, memorable for his performances in FARGO, THE BIG LEBOWSKI and MINORITY REPORT, will play a character named  ‘Burrell’ decribed as ‘a seasoned war veteran who carries out the main villain’s orders and leads an eight-man crew in taking on Schwarzenegger and his fellow officers‘.

THE LAST STAND is due for release in 2013

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
