Despite looking increasingly less likely that the remake of the original Clive Barker hit HELLRAISER will ever actually happen, following the recent admissions by film makers Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier (MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D, DRIVE ANGRY 3D) that the movie is unlikely to happen with them at the helm, we here at THN have discovered some cool conceptual art has been created for the duo by FX vet Gary J. Tunnicliffe (Two Hours in The Dark Inc) and was first seen over at shocktillyoudrop. The Pinhead artwork bears a close similarity to the original, whilst the other Cenobites seem to yield a Geigeresque design that will be familiar to fans of the ALIEN series.
Fans of the original movie will no doubt appreciate the effort and workmanship in the artwork and hope that the movie will finally get off the ground. Perhaps this could be a possibility after the two film makers finish work on HALLOWEEN 3D, which is the third entry in the series to follow up Rob Zombie’s reworking of the HALLOWEEN franchise?

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
