Adapted from the 1956 short story Steel by Richard Matheson (and surprisingly not based on Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em robots), REAL STEEL takes place in the year 2020 where robots have replaced humans in the boxing ring.
Hugh Jackman stars as Charlie Kenton who – having lost his chance at becoming a boxing champion – teams up with his estranged son to build a robot (Atom) that can win the championship.

REAL STEEL is directed by Shawn Levy and stars Hugh Jackman (X-MEN), Evangeline Lilly (LOST), and Anthony Mackie (THE HURT LOCKER). Released in UK cinemas 14th October 2011.
