Hugh Grant Added To Cloud Atlas

Hugh Grant (TWO WEEKS NOTICE) has been cast for the adaption of David Mitchell’s best-selling Cloud Atlas. The film charts a soul across six different existences that range from the nineteenth century through to a post-apocalyptic future.

He joins Tom Hanks (LARRY CROWNE), Brits Jim Broadbent (ANOTHER YEAR) and Jim Sturgess (ONE DAY) plus Halle Berry (CATWOMAN) – looking to resurrect her career – and the ever-impressive Susan Sarandon (DEAD MAN WALKING).

This feature has been picked up by the Wachowski’s who are working with screenwriter Tom Tykwer who’s biggest successes so far are RUN LOLA RUN and recently THE INTERNATIONAL which starred Clive Owen.

This is a massive task to take on but a very European affair being filmed in Spain, Scotland and Germany. We’re hoping that the adaptation of this revolutionary 2004 novel will live up to the eventual hype and with such a cast being set up, this could be one of those make-or-break productions for some of those involved.
