Last Exorcism Director To Helm Thai Remake ’13’

German-born Director Daniel Stamm has been approached to take charge of an English-language remake of the Thai horror hit ’13: GAME OF DEATH’. Deadline reports that Stamm, whose micro-budget THE LAST EXORCISM movie was one of the break-out horror hits of last year, is adapting the screenplay alongside writing-partner David Birke.

The original movie released in 2006, tells the story of Phuchit, a salesman who loses his job whilst being heavily in debt and after a mysterious phonecall is offered to the chance to appear in macabre gameshow, with a prize of 100 million bahut if he is able to complete 13 tasks.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
