Samuel L. Jackson Confirmed For Django Unchained

After much speculation surrounding his involvement, Samuel L. Jackson has officially signed on to star in Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED.

Jackson joins the existing cast of Leonardo DiCaprio (INCEPTION), Jamie Foxx (RAY), Christoph Waltz (INGLORIOUS BASTERDS), and Kevin Costner (DANCES WITH WOLVES). He will play Stephen, ‘a house slave and right hand man of a sadistic slave master’.

This will be the fifth Tarantino production the Jackson has starred in, previously taking leading roles in PULP FICTION and JACKIE BROWN, while having cameo appearances in KILL BILL VOL. 2 and INGLORIOUS BASTERDS.

DEADWOOD actor Gerald McRaney has also been attached to star in the western in an unnamed role.

DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Jamie Foxx as a slave-turned-bounty hunter who sets out to save his wife from a brutal plantation owner. It will be released in UK cinemas December 2012.
