Christopher McQuarrie’s (WAY OF THE GUN) up and coming adaptation of the Jack Reacher novel ONE SHOT has just cast another actor to star alongside Tom Cruise (MINORITY REPORT) and Rosamund Pike (DOOM). RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES’ David Oyelowo has joined the cast of novelist Lee Child’s creation.
Fans of the Jack Reacher series of books were up in arms recently when Cruise was cast as the bulky Reacher. Many of them realising Cruise is nowhere near the imposing size and stature of the 6 foot 5 inch heroes description.
The plot will follow Jack Reacher’s race against time to find out if the police departments investigation points to a military veteran. This prime suspect in the murder of five innocent people, may not be the slam-dunk they think it is. With Reacher on the case digging ever deeper to where the evidence leads, it soon becomes apparent that the suspect may be innocent with foul play pointing to someone more trusted.
