Costner Drops Out Of Tarantino’s Latest

Kevin Costner (ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES) has dropped out of the soon-to-begin shooting Quentin Tarantino (PULP FICTION) movie DJANGO UNCHAINED. Costner  has cited the familiar ‘scheduling conflicts’ with his other projects as his reason. Costner was due to play the lead ‘henchman’ Ace Woody to Leonardo DiCaprio’s (INCEPTION) brutal plantation owner Calvin Candie.

The movie will also see Jamie Foxx (RAY) take the lead as Django, a freed slave-turned-bounty hunter who teams up with Christoph Waltz’ Dr King Schultz (INGLORIOUS BASTERDS) to rescue his enslaved wife from Candie’s clutches.

Samuel L. Jackson was also recently confirmed as part of the cast.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
