Source Code On The Small Screen?

2011’s summer saw Duncan Jones’ (MOON) science fiction action thriller SOURCE CODE mesmerise audiences all over the world. Now American television network CBS wants a slice of the action. The film’s producer, Mark Gordon (10,000 BC), has teamed up with Disney’s ABC Studios to create a small screen adaptation of the blockbuster, which has since been sold to CBS. The show will share the movie’s title but will have a more in depth narrative.

The program will follow the experiences of three former federal agents who are involved in a secret government mission. Each episode will involve ‘Source Code’ technology to send the agents into the minds of people in tragic accidents so the government can figure out what, or who, caused them.

Mark Gordon, who has produced television shows such as GREY’S ANATOMY, will also produce the small screen SOURCE CODE. Steve Maeda (LOST) will write the episodes. There’s no word yet as to who will star or when the show will be gracing our television screens. Just remember; you heard it here first!

Sam was once a Tesco employee who dreamed of making it big, so she got a job at an independent cinema in Walton and has since never looked back. Four years on she has become an avid, and somewhat aggressive, film buff. She has recently completed her degree in Professional and Creative Writing with Media Arts and hopes to, one day, be a screenwriter/director. Personally, Sam is short, sometimes boring to be around but mostly quite fun. She does, however, feel a little bit awkward when writing about herself in the third person. Sam enjoys playing with Spartacus (her cat), watching films, obviously, and the occasional Nando's.
