The first Red Band trailer for hockey & fighting film GOON has hit the web.
This is not an adaptation of the Eric Powell comic, THE GOON, which has been in development for a long while. It also isn’t the new, two part Kevin Smith hockey film HIT SOMEBODY. This is the Sean William Scott (AMERICAN PIE) sports comedy which sees Scott becoming the new enforcer for his local hockey team.
Labelled an outcast by his brainy family, a bouncer overcomes long odds to lead a team of under performing misfits to semi-pro hockey glory, beating the crap out of everything that stands in his way
Directed by Michael Dowse (FUBAR, ITS ALL GONE PETE TONG) it looks to be a bit deeper than your average sports, R rated comedy with some great looking fight scenes. The film also stars; Jay Baruchel (HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON), Liev Schreiber (WOLVERINE: X-MEN ORIGINS), Eugene Levy (AMERICAN PIE) and Alison Pill (SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD).
