Stat and J-Lo on set for Parker

The Stat and J-Lo, what a pair. One being the gravel voiced, muscle bound, cockney alpha-male, the other being Jason Staham (just kidding Jennifer. You knows we got your back).

Co-stars Jason Statham (THE EXPENDABLES, KILLER ELITE) and Jennifer Lopez (OUT OF SIGHT, THE BACKUP PLAN) have been snapped filming scenes for PARKER, based on the series of novels by Donald Westlake.

The books have been the basis for several films, including PAYBACK (1999 with Mel Gibson), FULL CONTACT (1992 with Chow Yun Fat) and POINT BLANK (1967 with Lee Marvin). So Statham is filling some tough guys boots, and by the looks of it, one badass Stetson. This could mark Lopez’s big return to the silver screen, having taken time off to get back into her music and parenting.

Directed by Taylor Hackford (LOVE RANCH, RAY)  PARKER tells the story of a thief who lives by a code of honour; never stealing from those who need it. Though apparently he can be a ruthless killer when needs be. Questionable ethics, but a sweet hat.

PARKER is slated for release October 12^th, 2012
