Two of the the industry’s hottest young talents, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Aaron Paul, are currently in negotiations to join the latest project from Super Crispy Entertainment, SMASHED.
The indie comedy will be loosely based on Blake Edwards 1962 film DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES, and will star Winstaed and Paul as a married couple whose relationship is built on their shared alcoholism. Their marriage is thrown into chaos when the wife decides to give up the bottle.
SMASHED will reportedly co-star Octavia Spencer (BEING JOHN MALKOVICH) as the character’s AA sponsor, and Nick Offerman (PARKS & RECREATION) as a schoolteacher colleague.
Winstead will be seen next in high-profile remake/prequel THE THING and Aaron Paul is currently starring in the fourth season of BREAKING BAD.
