Blake Lively, star of GREEN LANTERN, is reportedly in talks to take the lead role in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES. The production will be adapted from Seth Grahame-Smith’s reworking of the Jane Austen classic ‘Pride and Prejudice’.
The story roughly follows the original characters and plot, with a zombie outbreak and inevitable attacks crowbarred into the proceedings for good measure. Though the book is weak at best, the premise could well lend itself to a cinematic context, and director Craig Gillespie has proved with FRIGHT NIGHT that he can handle comic horror with ease.
There is no confirmation that Lively has signed on for the role.
