Brittany Snow (PROM NIGHT, HAIRSPRAY) has joined to cast of Universal’s musical comedy PITCH PERFECT. Snow joins the previously cast TWILIGHT star Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson (BRIDESMAIDS) in the movie about competing all-girl capella signing groups.
Jason Moore is helming what will be his first feature film after stints directing episodes of television shows DAWSON’S CREEK, EVERWOOD and BROTHERS & SISTERS. Kay Cannon (30 ROCK) has written the screenplay based on the book by Mickey Rapkin. Shooting is set to start next month in Louisiana, USA.
Universal Pictures will be hoping to capitalise on the recent success of the similarly themed GLEE television series that has garnered cult status worldwide.
