Spartacus Star Lands ‘One Shot’ In Cruise’s Reacher Flick

Australian actor Jai Courtney has landed a plum role opposite Tom Cruise in action-thriller ONE SHOT. The actor is best known for his turn in the Starz network television hit SPARTACUS: BLOOD & SAND as Varro, the doomed friend of hero Spartacus.

Courtney will portray a deadly sniper determined to put a  stop Cruise’s character Jack Reacher. ONE SHOT will be written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie (WAY OF THE GUN) and is based on the Jack Reacher novel of the same name by Lee Childs.

It was also recently announced Rosamund Pike (JOHNNY ENGLISH REBORN ) will also join the cast as a detective who teams up to aid Reacher uncover a conspiracy in what seems a slam-dunk case.

ONE SHOT is due for release 8th February 2013 in the US and will also star Robert Duvall (FALLING DOWN), David Oyelowo (RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES) and Richard Jenkins (LET ME IN).
