After the ludicrously popular FAST FIVE, the money-spinning franchise was always bound to return for a sixth installment. And for fans of the high-octane series, there are big wheels in motion.
According to sources, Universal are looking to shoot not one but two FAST AND THE FURIOUS films back-to-back, this time taking the action to Europe. And word is that Britain’s hardest (and most gravelly-voiced) man, Jason Statham, is in talks to join the series. Though nothing has been confirmed yet, THN suspects the Stath will most likely jump aboard the successful franchise, joining Vin Diesel and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
Justin Lin, who recently had the foresight to abandon TERMINATOR 5, is penciled in to direct.
