‘Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?’ asked Ben Stiller in the 2001 comedy hit ZOOLANDER. Hopefully for Owen Wilson’s character Hansel there is. Ten years on, ZOOLANDER 2 will show the model is no longer ‘so hot right now’.
‘There’s been a disfiguring injury,’ laughed Wilson. Though refusing to give any real details away, he teased ‘Think VANILLA SKY…‘ It’s a horrifying yet hilarious thought, we’ll give you that.
‘The thing about Hansel is he can’t ever imagine himself — so even if he isn’t the #1 guy, I think he still carries himself as if [he is]… He’ll still have that Hansel swagger.’
ZOOLANDER 2 has a tentative release date of 2014 and will be directed by Justin Theroux (who had a cameo in the original as an evil DJ) featuring Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson and Jonah Hill.
