Step Aside War Horse Mr Ed’s Coming Through

Most people in the UK will only know MR ED through a couple of BBC 2 noon re-runs, or from pop culture referencing but in the US a show about a talking horse was big business. So with all the remakes and re-imaginings happening it was only a matter of time before MR ED was dusted off.

THR are reporting that Elizabeth Galber over at Fox 2000 have snatched up the rights with Jim Mahoney and David Friendly attached to produce.

As of yet no writers or directors have been signed on to the production. For all of you unfamiliar with the fabulous talking horse here’s a little taster with the opening credits and what happens when the two powerhouses; Clint Eastwood and Mr Ed collide.

Paul finished is BA in Film & Broadcast Productions during the summer and has somehow landed the position of Media & Marketing Manager in the London Korean Film Festival happening this November (plug). While at University Paul found his speciality lay in Script Development, scriptwriting and Editing. He has written, edited and director a small number of not very good short films but does not let that dissuade him from powering through. After the Koreans are through with him he looks to enter the paid world of Script Development. He likes incredibly bad horror films, East Asian movies, comics and lots of other stuff.
