The original spin-off to THE MUMMY, starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as Mathayus, earned over $165 million at the box office and spawned a plot-ridden and critically panned prequel. The film went straight-to-DVD and starred Michael Copon (POWER RANGERS: TIME FORCE) in The Rock’s role.
The latest instalment, THE SCORPION KING 3: BATTLE FOR REDEMPTION, again recasts the lead and stars Victor Webster (MUTANT X) as the Akkidian mercenary. TITANIC actor Billy Zane also stars as the King of Egypt in what surely must be a career low-point… Well, this or THE SILENCE OF THE HAMS.
