Although the movie has not even begun shooting yet, a teaser poster has appeared well over a year before its release date, which as you can see states ‘Fall 2012′. THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D will follow the character of Heather, who heads up to Texas to collect an inheritance left by some distant relatives. Upon her arrival she discovers her relatives were the Sawyer clan, responsible for a number of grisly murders, and as you can expect not all of them may be dead. This latest entry is not expected to follow on from Platinum Dunes’ remake or its prequel but word is it may be a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s 1974 classic.
John Luessenhoop who was responsible for last year’s TAKERS is expected to direct and Alexandra Daddario, who appeared in Stevan Mena’s pretty impressive thriller BEREAVEMENT (a prequel to his earlier intense slasher flick MALEVOLENCE) recently, will star.
