Former Incredible Hulk Eric Bana has signed on to play ‘The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’ Elvis Presley in ELVIS & NIXON. Danny Huston is in talks to star opposite as the infamous US President Richard Nixon.
ELVIS & NIXON will mark the writer-directorial debut of SAW star Carey Elwes, who became intrigued by the meeting of the two historical figures.The story follows The King’s trip to the White House in 1970, after he wrote to Nixon and requested a meeting. Elvis had requested to be appointed as ‘Federal Agent-at-Large’ in the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.
Bana joins a long line of actors to have played Elvis, such as Kurt Russel and Don Johnson, whilst Huston follows the likes of Frank Langella and Anthony Hopkins.
