The Harper’s Field Footage Goes Into Production

John Muscarnero and Mark Shady have announced that their second feature together is currently in production. The duo previously produced DARK WOODS n 2010, which followed a married couple driven apart by the wife’s terminal illness and the husband’s tumultuous relationship with a local teenage girl whom he rescues from a sexual assault.

The producers of DARK WOODS announce their second feature film:

After the worldwide release of the dramatic thriller DARK WOODS,  a.k.a FORBIDDEN ATTRACTION (European title), the producers behind it, Mark Shady and John Muscanero, were searching for their next script to make when an intriguing story found them.

Since August of this year, deep in the woods of San Bernardino Mountains of southern California,there have been a string of deadly attacks on random hikers and campers in the area. Authorities issued a statement in mid-September pinning the attacls on a black bear, or possibly a grizzly. there have been 7 people mauled to death since the attacks began.

John’s father, an avid hunter, residing in Colorado, caught wind of the story and flew out to track down the killer bear…3 days later he went missing. The last place he was known to have been was just outside of a popular campsite in the area called Harper’s Field. .

Mark and John loaded up their film equipment and a small crew and trekked into the wilderness to find John’s dad and document their search. Once they discovered it may not have been a bear after all, but more likely someone or something else, responsible for the deaths.

The deeper they went into the wilderness documenting their desperate search for John’s father, the more gruesome and terrifying their discoveries became…
