We’ve already had a nice red band video for GOON, but the official trailer has been released for the (only) other ice hockey fighting comedy since SLAPSHOT. Scripted by Jay Baruchel and Evan Goldberg, GOON stars Seann William Scott as Doug Glatt, a bouncer recruited into a fledgling ice hockey team. Although severely lacking in traditional hockey skills, Doug finds he is rather adept at fighting people, and protecting his team mates. However, when he comes up against heavy hitting goon Rhea (Liev Schreiber), Doug finds himself out of his depth once again.
Directed by Michael Dowse, GOON also stars Eugene Levy, Alison Pill, Kim Coates, and co-scripter Jay Baruchel.
GOON is scheduled for release on 24th February 2012.
