The upcoming Snow White adaptation from director Tarsem Singh has finally been given a title. MIRROR MIRROR — taken from the infamous ‘mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?’ — stars Lily Collins as the eponymous Snow White and Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen.
The adaptation features Snow White as an ‘exiled princess who enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright’. The comedic adventure is not to be confused with SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, a rival adaptation starring Kristin Stewart and Charlize Theron with a darker undertone. MIRROR MIRROR director Singh has been keen to distance his project from the rival feature.
‘It’s a children’s movie, but my stuff tends to be polarizing. When it’s for children, it’s like, sickeningly kiddie, and when it’s the other way, it’s sickeningly graphic for people.
