MGM Takes Order On Killer Pizza

Production studio MGM has bought the script to Gregg Taylor’s childrens book KILLER PIZZA. Adam Green, who wrote and directed the cult and enjoyable over-the-top horror films HATCHET and HATCHET II, has written the screenplay that will tell the tale of 14 year old who gets a summer job as a pizza delivery boy at Killer Pizza. The restaurant is really a cover for a specialist monster hunting organization.

HOME ALONE and HARRY POTTER director Chris Columbus brought the project to the attention of the studio with a hope its child-friendly plot will be a hit with kids at the box-office. It is unclear whether he or even Green will direct with pre-production in its very early stages.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
