Debut Trailer For Edward Burns Indie ‘Newlyweds’

There’s been an official first trailer for writer and director Edward Burns indie comedy-drama NEWLYWEDS released today. You may recognise him primarily from SAVING PRIVATE RYAN but he was launched onto the film world back in 1995 when he wrote and directed the well-received THE BROTHERS MCMULLEN.

NEWLYWEDS is based around a newlywed couple, stick with us, whose lives are interrupted by the sudden arrival of Burns’ half-sister. For an indie flick, this does look quite entertaining and laid back as it appears to focuses on his half-sister learning how other people live and – no doubt – how the couple deal with the upheaval. This one could well be worth a look and although it will probably initially have a limited release, it has had positive sounds after showings recently at the Amsterdam Film Week and it also played at the Tribeca Film Festival.

It stars Edward Burns, Kerry Bishe (RED STATE), Max Baker (REVOLUTIONARY ROAD) and Caitlin Fitzgerald (GOSSIP GIRL). Check out the trailer right here on THN:
