After a worldwide box-office haul of almost $250 million, I suppose a sequel was expected for Sony Pictures animated hit CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS. Today, although not officially greenlit, the studio have announced animators Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn will take over as directors for the follow-up.
The original directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord who adapted the beloved children’s book by Judi Barrett, will this time will serve as executive producers. CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS featured the voice talent of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan and Bruce Campbell.
