Fox have revealed that they are set to bring ten new episodes of the popular TV show The X-Files to TV screens later this year. This will be the eleventh season of the David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson-led sci-fi show, which will follow last year’s six-episode revival.
The new series will debut as part of the 2017-2018 season and will once again feature the adventures of Mulder and Scully who once again strive to discover if “the truth is out there.”
David Madden, President, Fox Broadcasting Company said: “Iconic characters, rich storytelling, bold creators – these are the hallmarks of great TV shows. And they are some of the reasons why ‘The X-Files’ has had such a profound impact on millions of fans worldwide. Chris’ creativity, along with the brilliant work of David and Gillian, continue to propel this pop culture phenomenon, and we can’t wait to see what fresh mysteries Mulder and Scully uncover in this next chapter of ‘The X-Files’.”
The network also released a teaser for the new series, which you can see below.
More as it comes in.
