Dreamworks animation team are still working on something rather inventive by bringing together a troop of childhood heroes to fight evil. RISE OF THE GUARDIANS is based upon William Joyce’s Guardians of Childhood and will unite Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, Jack Frost and the Sandman in a fight against the dark side of the imagination but more specifically…the Bogeyman.
It’s directed by Peter Ramsey and William Joyce plus they’ve already got Alec Baldwin adding his voice talent to Santa or Nicholas St North as he’ll be known in this adaptation, plus Jude Law is the baddie Bogeyman or ‘Pitch’. Furthermore there’s Isla Fisher, Hugh Jackman and Chris Pine for the other roles of Tooth (The Tooth Fairy), Bunnymund (The Easter Bunny) and Pine as Jack Frost.
RISE OF THE GUARDIANS is set for a November 2012 release in the UK and here’s your first teaser poster:
